Cardigan Bay dolphins 'sent north' by water sports noise

Better protection is needed for the dolphins that live in Cardigan Bay claims a charity which has found the mammals are moving north to quieter waters.

The Sea Watch Foundation said this was possibly due to an increase in water sports off the west Wales coast.

But Steve Hartley, manager at the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre, questioned the research and said the dolphins' move north was probably driven by food availability.

Mr Hartley spoke to Mai Davies on BBC Radio Wales.
