Council tax and services warning over feared budget cuts

Local councils have been told to prepare themselves for bigger than expected cuts to their budgets.

The Welsh Local Government Association, which held its annual conference in Cardiff on Thursday, says the funding outlook for its members is "nightmarish".

But the Welsh government minister in charge says they need to work together and warned them against making blanket closures of leisure and library services.
