Mold gold cape back on display in Cardiff and Wrexham

The Mold Cape is 3,700 years old and is described as one of the most important finds from the Bronze Age.

Now, the gold cape is on a tour of Wales, on loan from the British Museum in London.

It was discovered in Mold, Flintshire, in 1833 when workmen discovered a skeleton in a grave at the centre of a circular burial monument.

Despite its age, experts say they are continuing to learn more about life in prehistoric Europe.

It is being shown at the National Museum, Cardiff, from 2 July to 4 August.

It will also be on show at the Wrexham County Borough Museum from 7 August to 14 September.
