Former Tory MP and Welsh Office minister joins UKIP

Former Tory MP and Welsh Office minister Rod Richards has joined the UK Independence Party, he has confirmed.

But Mr Richards refused to confirm whether he will seek the party's candidacy in next year's European Parliament election.

Mr Richards spoke about his decision to join the UK Independence Party with Oliver Hides on BBC Radio Wales.
