Brecon Beacons endurance run was 'challenging'

Hundreds of runners have taken part in an SAS-inspired endurance event in the Brecon Beacons, where two reserve soldiers died during an SAS selection course last weekend.

Organisers of the Fan Dance event on Pen y Fan mountain said it was much less gruelling than the SAS course and safety precautions had been put in place.

The weather was slightly cooler than last weekend, but former soldier Alun Wyn Roberts, from Bangor, who won the Clean Fatigue part of the event, said it was still a challenge.
