Thousands take part in Alzheimer's Society memory walk

Iwan Rheon, star of the Games of Thrones TV series, and Strictly Come Dancing's Patrick Robinson set off more than 2,500 people in a "memory walk" at Bute Park in Cardiff.

The fundraising event, which was organised by the Alzheimer's Society, is expected to have raised over £100,000 for people with dementia and their carers.

Participants either took part in the 2km (1.2 miles) or 10km (6.2 miles) routes in the shadow of Cardiff Castle.

BBC Wales filmed some of the sights and sounds of the event.
