Denbighshire council scraps two-site faith school merger

Campaigners fighting to save two Catholic secondary schools in Denbighshire have won a temporary reprieve after the council scrapped plans to merge them.

St Brigid's in Denbigh and Blessed Edward Jones in Rhyl were due to become one school spread over two sites.

But there are still plans to create a new faith school to replace them.

Matthew Richards reports.
