Recruits voice views on young soldiers

Young recruits have been giving their views on whether they should join up before reaching 18.

It follows a letter signed by all the bishops in the Church in Wales calling on the British Army to stop recruiting under-18-year-olds.

The MoD said it had no plans to change the recruitment age, arguing enlisting could be beneficial for youngsters.

At present, 16-year-olds can join the Army with parental consent and can apply from 15 and 7 months.
