Schoolgirls join 'industrial cadets' at Airbus factory

A total of 72 schoolgirls from north Wales are taking part in a project to encourage more women to become engineers.

The "industrial cadets" - who are aged 12 to 14 years - will be put through their paces by staff at the Airbus wing-making plant in Broughton, Flintshire, over the next few weeks.

They will learn more about working in science and technology as part of the project.

Matthew Richards reports.
