Trellech pub flooded prompting Christmas Eve clean-up

Gales and heavy rain have brought a series of flooding incidents across south and west Wales overnight.

The Fountain Inn in Trellech, Monmouthshire, was hit by 4ft of flood water after a nearby stream burst its banks.

Owners Steve and Jill Pocock, were alerted by friends at 22:30 GMT on Monday. Firefighters spent three hours pumping the water out and neighbours helped clear up the damage.

They spoke to BBC Wales reporter Paul Heaney.
