Shadow ministers sacked in reshuffle by Welsh Conservatives

Four sacked members of the Welsh Conservatives cabinet did not fulfil their cabinet responsibility when they rebelled against the rest of the group in a vote, their leader Andrew RT Davies has said.

Nick Ramsay, Antoinette Sandbach, Mohammad Asghar and Janet Finch-Saunders lost their positions when they failed to vote in a Senedd motion on the devolution of income tax.

Mr Davies said a smaller cabinet would be more "nimble" and "progressive" in developing the party's plans for the future.
