Welsh Water fined £15,000 over sewage spill in River Clywedog
Welsh Water has been criticised for releasing higher than permitted levels of sewage into a river in Wrexham.
The firm was fined £15,000 after it admitted breaching a permit and deliberately discharging waste into the River Clywedog when its overflow tanks were full.
Natural Resources Wales said this was the fifth time the firm had been prosecuted for failings at its sewage plants in north Wales in the past five months.
