Longer waits on Welsh NHS, says Nuffield Trust study
The decision to cut NHS funding in recent years may be responsible for a "striking" and "disproportionate" lengthening in NHS waiting times, an influential new report claims.
The study - comparing England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland - shows a significant deterioration in Welsh waiting times since 2009.
But the research by the Nuffield Trust and the Health Foundation suggests there is no evidence to suggest the Welsh NHS is "lagging behind" any other part of the UK.
