Cardiff University in leukaemia treatment 'breakthrough'

Scientists at Cardiff University believe they have made a significant breakthrough in the treatment of the most prevalent strain of leukaemia.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) affects 3,000 people in Wales and 20,000 patients in the UK as a whole.

The team has helped to develop drugs which target the disease at a molecular level.
