Wales was living education 'lie', says government adviser
Wales was living an education "lie" according to a government adviser.
Prof David Reynolds' comments come as it was revealed concerns over the Welsh government's lack of a long-term vision for education were first raised more than six years ago.
A confidential document from 2007, seen by BBC Wales, detailed weaknesses in strategy and teacher training.
The Welsh government said "positive progress" on standards was being made.
