Bodies of servicemen who died in air crash are repatriated

The bodies of two Welsh serviceman killed alongside three others in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan have been repatriated to Britain.

An aircraft carrying the bodies of Capt Thomas Clarke, 30, of Cowbridge, and army reservist L/Cpl Oliver Thomas, 26, from Brecon, landed at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on Tuesday afternoon.

The pair died on 26 April alongside Warrant Officer Class 2 Spencer Faulkner and Cpl James Walters from the Army Air Corps, and RAF intelligence officer Flt Lt Rakesh Chauhan.

Roger Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, paid tribute to L/Cpl Oliver Thomas who worked for him as a researcher.
