Doctors' concerns over Hergest mental health unit

Two senior doctors at a mental health unit in Bangor say they are concerned about the way it is being run.

The consultants at the Hergest psychiatric unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd say Health Minister Mark Drakford needs to take action over the way staff are being treated.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, which runs the unit, says all the correct procedures are being followed and it is listening to staff.

Chris Dearden spoke to consultant psychiatrist Dr Tony Roberts and Prof Matthew Makin from the health board.
