Jewish Aberystwyth holiday block remains over candles
Members of an Orthodox Jewish community will not be able to stay in accommodation at Aberystwyth University this summer.
The group has been visiting the seaside town for more than 20 years but two years ago they were told use of candles in residences is prohibited following an minor incident.
The university said it was working to find a solution but that maintenance also needed to take place at one of its student villages which would not be available for visitors.
Myer Rothfeld, who is senior member of the community, said members had tried to reach a compromise with the university.
