Gwynedd council pledges 'no community without buses'
No communities in Gwynedd will be left without a bus service, the council has pledged, following the losure of a family-run bus firm.
Padarn Bus, which operates routes from Bangor, Caernarfon, Llanberis and to Beaumaris on Anglesey, said services would cease at midnight on Friday.
The announcement comes a day after a man aged 44, and a women, 28, were arrested following allegations of fraud at the company.
Gwynedd council's senior transport manager Dafydd Williams said they could not promise the same level of coverage but would update its website as new contracts for services with other bus firms were agreed.
