All-women shortlist in Cynon Valley sparks Labour row

Labour party members in south Wales have cancelled a meeting to select a parliamentary candidate after being told it must be an all-women shortlist.

The Cynon Valley constituency needs a replacement for MP Ann Clwyd who retires at next year's general election.

Local secretary Alun Williams told BBC Radio Wales' Sunday Supplement that the views of constituency members have been "totally ignored".
