Wages falling behind living costs, says PCS union

Schools, courts, job centres and council services will be hit as around 70,000 public sector workers in Wales join a one-day strike over pay, pensions and working conditions.

The UK government has said public sector pay restraint protects jobs, services and the national finances.

But Robin Jones of the PCS union said wages were not keeping pace with the cost of living.
