Children in care support 'patchy,' commissioner says
Children in care in Wales still do not have the support they need and are being denied the right to an advocate, claims the children's commissioner.
Keith Towler says he is increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress in the support services for such children.
An independent "voice" for children was suggested 14 years ago after an inquiry into abuse in north Wales care homes.
The Welsh government has denied the claims and says it is committed to empowering children to speak out.
