Beluga aeroplane flies Airbus wings from Broughton to France

The plane manufacturer Airbus has received £35bn worth of orders over the last three days at the Farnborough International Air Show.

BBC Wales has been given access to the company's facilities including exclusive filming on a Beluga airplane transporting the wings manufactured in Broughton to Toulouse for final assembly.

More than 6,000 people are employed by Airbus at Broughton, manufacturing the company's wings.

The largest ones are transported by sea and road but most of them are flown on the uniquely designed cargo plane, the Beluga.

Watch how the wings are carefully loaded through the nose of the Beluga in Flintshire, then flown to France and right inside the Airbus assembly factory in France.
