Athletes can make no drugs excuses, says Dame Tanni

Athletes who fail drug tests can make no excuses that they did not know what they were taking, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson has said.

She said athletes had strong guidance from the sport's education programme on what substances they could take but ultimately they were responsible for what they put in their bodies.

The Paralympic gold medallist wheelchair racer was speaking after Welsh 400m hurdler Rhys Williams was ruled out of the Commonwealth Games after failing a drugs test.

She spoke to BBC Wales reporter Ashleigh Crowter.
