Cardiff Uni seminar told of health risks for desk bound

Office workers should avoid sitting for prolonged periods if they want to cut their risk of diabetes and heart disease, a seminar has been told.

The Cardiff University seminar was told that sitting at work is the main source of adults' sedentary behaviour.

Organiser Dr Jemma Hawkins said delegates would be encouraged to practise what they preach with regular breaks from sitting down.
