Caldicot pyramid scheme victim on how 'buzz' turned bad

Six women have been convicted of operating a "pyramid" scheme in which thousands of investors lost money.

The "Give and Take" scheme operated in south-west England and south Wales five years ago, Bristol Crown Court heard.

The six were all from the Bristol area and each was given a nine month prison sentence. Investigators say more than £20m was invested by about 10,000 members of the public.

Hundreds of those losing money were from Wales.

Sue Jones, from Caldicot, Momouthshire and her son lost £3,000 after handing over their savings in an envelope. They had hoped to get their money back and much more in time for Christmas.

She told the X-Ray programme's Lucy Owen that she got a "buzz" after seeing people making money after she was nominated to join the scheme by a friend.
