National Assembly for Wales milestone marked

The National Assembly for Wales has held its 1,000th plenary meeting.

When the Queen opened it in 1999 she called it "a bridge into the future".

But has it lived up to the billing and what can voters expect from the next 1,000 plenaries?

Lord Elis-Thomas was the assembly's first presiding officer and spoke to Vaughan Roderick.
