Driving ticket in Wales 'every 10 minutes,' Brake says

A fixed penalty for careless driving or speeding is issued every ten minutes in Wales, according to figures released by the road safety charity Brake.

It is launching its "look out for each other" campaign at the start of Road Safety Week.

The charity says that speeding or careless driving is putting vulnerable road users at risk and that drivers should should slow down to 20mph around residential areas and schools, and take it slower at junctions and bends.

Reporter Charlotte Dubenskij has been speaking to one person who was caught speeding and opted to go on a speed-awareness course.
