John Allen trial: 'Hell' in home run by child abuser
"It wasn't care, it was like hell," says one of the victims of paedophile John Allen, describing his life as a resident in one of his children's homes.
Allen denied 40 counts of sex abuse against 19 boys and one girl in the late 1960s up to the early 1990s at his trial at Mold Crown Court.
He was convicted of 33 charges in total and told on Thursday that he faces life behind bars when he is sentenced on Monday.
The trial was told that Allen had created "a sexualised atmosphere... alongside a culture of fear".
Roger Pinney reports.
