Stephen Crabb: No reason for Wales cancer fund refusal

Labour's plans to set up a new fund for specialist cancer treatment in England if it is elected puts huge pressure on Welsh ministers to do likewise, Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb has said.

The fund, for innovative cancer drugs, surgery and radiotherapy, would replace England's current Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF).

The Labour Welsh government said the CDF was "unravelling" and it had "no intention" of introducing such a fund.

But Mr Crabb said Welsh ministers were "all out of excuses" on the issue and it would be indefensible if they did not follow suit.
