999 crews get set for Black Friday in Wales

Emergency crews are expecting one of the busiest nights of the year due to alcohol-fuelled incidents as people mark the start of the Christmas period.

The last Friday before Christmas is known as "Mad" or "Black Friday".

In north Wales, extra care centres are opening in Wrexham and Rhyl.

A triage centre will run in Cardiff city centre along with a specialist place to care for drunks while a help point in Swansea city centre will provide help and support overnight.

Steven Magee said the ambulance service did not want to ruin party-goers' fun.
