Heart surgery rehabilitation praised by patient

Patient advocate Robin Williams, who had a quadruple bypass in the year 2000, says his treatment and cardiac rehabilitation has helped to extend his life.

He was speaking after British Heart Foundation Cymru said just 38% of patients who have a heart attack, angioplasty or bypass surgery receive cardiac rehabilitation.

"It helps you physically and mentally," said Mr Williams from Penarth, referring to the rehabilitation.

Nicola Smith reports.
