Difficult choices for Cardiff council cuts, says leader Phil Bale

The leader of Cardiff council says the authority faces difficult choices as it looks to plug a £41m budget shortfall in 2015/16.

Nearly 600 posts could go, council tax may rise by 5% and services will be cut as Wales' largest authority aims to make savings.

Councillor Phil Bale, leader of the council, said the authority had tried to listen to people when making the cuts but it was facing difficult choices.
