Welsh war veterans given French honour
Two Welsh veterans of World War Two will be awarded France's highest honour on Friday - the Legion d'Honneur.
Ernest Stringer and Merville John Wintle, both from south Wales, are being recognised at the event in Cardiff.
The ceremony commemorates their participation in the D-Day landings in Normandy and their contribution to the liberation of France during the war.
It is one of the events marking the war's 70th anniversary.
Mr Wintle, 90, told BBC Radio Wales' Good Morning Wales programme about his experiences.
