New Welsh emergency service fleet unveiled

A fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles has been unveiled which will be used by the emergency services.

The Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service will launch in April and use new 4x4s as well as consultant doctors flying in Wales Air Ambulances.

EMRTS will be funded with £2.8m from the Welsh government in 2015/16.

Deputy Health Minister Vaughan Gething said: "It will transform our ability to provide the very best care to the most critically-ill patients in Wales."
