Welsh Tory success a 'game changer'

The new Conservative MP for Cardiff North says his party's general election success in Wales was a 'game changer'.

It has been a successful night for the Tories in Wales winning two key seats and retaining a hotly-contested third.

They took Brecon and Radnorshire from the Liberal Democrats and gained Vale of Clwyd from Labour in "the result of the night".

They also saw off Labour's top target by holding on to Cardiff North.

The party is on course to win at least 10 seats, which will be the best showing since 1983.
