Labour needs 'ideas and visions' to keep Welsh vote

Former Labour minister Kim Howells has said the party cannot count on continued support from voters in Wales.

The former Pontypridd MP said Welsh Labour had built up trust by being in power in the National Assembly, but said it needed "policies and ideas and visions for the future" to keep winning votes.

His comments follow his earlier attack on the party in which he said it was in the "deepest crisis" he could remember.
