Velothon road closures 'bad for business'
Businesses fear they will lose thousands of pounds as roads are closed for a major cycling event.
About 15,000 cyclists will take part in Sunday's Velothon Wales event through Newport, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, Cardiff and Caerphilly.
But because of road closures, Anna Jones of the Usk Garden Centre said her business could lose £15,000.
Monmouth MP David Davies believes business-owners in Monmouthshire could lose a combined £82,000.
Organisers said the event was planned in consultation with councils and local people.
