Preserving Celtic rainforests 'incredibly important'

It is "incredibly important" that we look after the few Celtic rainforests remaining, according to naturalist Iolo Williams.

The BBC's wildlife presenter is backing a conservation charity which is trying to raise £800,000 to purchase 550 acres (222 hectares) of land at Llennyrch woodland in Snowdonia National Park.

Mr Williams said Wales had some of the best examples of Celtic rainforest in the world thanks to the influence of the Atlantic ocean on wildlife. He said the clean wind and air promote growth.
