Former homeless student to go and study law

A former homeless man has been celebrating after achieving the A-level results he needed to study law at Cambridge University.

Jacob Lewis, 22, left school at aged 17 and worked a string of jobs before becoming homeless.

But determined to succeed, he enrolled at Coleg y Cymoedd, Rhondda Cynon Taff.

He said studying became an obsession and his four A* grades at A-level on Thursday were vindication for all his hard work.

The college said it was incredibly proud of him, with principal Judith Evans in tears as he received his results.
