Bridges into Work project 'changed my life'

Two thousand unemployed people in the south Wales valleys will be offered training and mentoring in a new £7m project to get them into work.

The £5.4m Bridges into Work 2 will work with over-25s in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Torfaen and Bridgend.

Rachel Lagos from Merthyr Tydfil took part in the original Bridges into Work project and said it had helped turn her life around.

She was an unemployed, lone parent to two children but is now working 30 hours a week as a cleaner after going through the project.

She spoke to BBC Radio Wales' Louise Elliott.
