Steel industry has 'reduced dramatically' in Wales

The loss of hundreds of jobs at Tata Steel in Newport were announced on Wednesday, amid the firm's plans to mothball part of its Llanwern plant.

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Wales said it was a "serious blow" to the area.

Labour market expert, Prof David Blackaby, of Swansea University, said the steel industry in Wales was "historically very important" but it had "reduced dramatically".

He speaks to BBC Radio Wales' Louise Elliott.
