Veteran Will Kevans's cartoon story of Falklands war

From the Battle of Hastings to the fall of Baghdad, artists have always delivered their own interpretation of the conflicts that have shaped history.

A few of them have also been serving soldiers.

Welsh illustrator Will Kevans has used his experience fighting in the Falklands War to produce a cartoon book, My Life In Pieces.

He served with the Welsh Guards in the south Atlantic, and has used his own memories, and interviews with friends, to chart the course of the war in a series of dramatic images and text.

Kevans told BBC Wales arts and media correspondent Huw Thomas how he approached the book.
