Paris attacks: 'Streets quiet now', says Welsh ex-pat

Welsh people caught up in the Paris shootings and bombings which killed at least 127 people have described panic and fear on streets in the French city.

Gunmen and bombers struck at bars, restaurants and a concert hall on Friday evening.

France's President Francois Hollande said the near-simultaneous attacks in Paris, which also left at least 180 people wounded, were an "act of war" organised by the Islamic State (IS) militant group.

Tom Roberts, who is originally from Bangor in Gwynedd but now works for a French quarrying company in Paris, told BBC Radio Wales there were hardly any people on the streets of the city on Saturday morning.
