£5m heroin haul 'biggest' south Wales has ever seen
Levels of heroin dealt by a £5m drug gang had not been seen in south Wales ever, a leading officer in the case said.
Ten members of the gang were jailed on Tuesday, with "generals" Mohammed Sajjad, 38, from Cardiff, and Imtiaz Ali, 35, from Newport locked up for 17 years each.
A senior investigating officer said it was the biggest operation he had been involved in during 15 years of service.
An undercover police officer and Det Ch Insp Gary Phillips spoke to BBC Wales.
Det Ch Insp Phillips said as a region, south Wales "hasn't seen levels of heroin like this ever".
