Blood bikers hitting the road with medical equipment
A charity which saves the NHS in Wales an estimated £75,000 a year transporting medical supplies and equipment between hospitals has appealed for more volunteers.
The charity has been operating in Wales since 2011 and has bikes parked at hospitals in south and west Wales, with it hoped its operations can soon be expanded to the north.
As well as blood, its 224 volunteers transport frozen breast milk, patient notes, MRI scans and X-rays, with the charity raising £15,000 a year to pay for fuel and vehicles.
Two volunteers talk about their experiences and why they got involved in a film made by three University of South Wales students.
