Cardiff Capital Region deal looks at future technology

The £1.2m Cardiff capital region deal is not just about transport - it will be about business exploiting some of the cutting edge research already going on in the region's universities.

This includes a software academy and helping develop the next generation of computer chips.

Prof Colin Riordan, vice chancellor of Cardiff University said it was about developing a new economy for Wales based on innovation.
