'Risk' over lack of grass cutting by Gwynedd council

Gwynedd council has literally been accused of not cutting it by residents.

The council reduced the frequency of grass cutting in its cemeteries, play areas and open spaces in a bid to save money.

But the overgrowth has led to outbursts on social media, with people struggling to visit graves and children unable to play in parks.

A council spokesman said inevitably there would be "a deterioration in the tidiness" of some areas.

Gwynedd Cllr Dilwyn Lloyd said the long grass posed a risk to the public.
