Parental involvement 'key' to keeping children safe online

Parents should help their children understand the risks of using the internet, an online safety expert said.

New figures show the number of recorded crimes involving indecent images of children in Wales more than trebled in the last three years.

According to children's charity the NSPCC, the annual figure rose from 201 in 2013 to 629 in 2015 for North Wales, South Wales and Dyfed-Powys police areas. Gwent Police only provided figures for 2015.

Dr Sangeet Bhullar, of Wise Kids, said education is vital.
