Cwmbran Deaf Choir connects with community through music

A deaf choir, whose members felt isolated because of their disability, are using music to build confidence and their own community.

Drawn from pupils and ex-pupils at the deaf unit at Cwmbran High School, they have been performing for five years now.

While many lacked the confidence to give a presentation in class, they performed in front of 56,000 people at a recent rugby international.

Their latest performance was for pensioners at the Ty Gwyn residential home in Cwmbran.
